Wrapping up the search...

Now that I've seen that the children are ok, my work here is done. The client told me that I can go back to Manila. The mother is still nowhere in sight. I will be coming back to Manila to search for her.

While on the bus, I was on memory lane... I thank Bathala for the blessings of finding the children. I also thank all the psychics that assisted us for the search...

>>>Kuya Gilbert, the tarot scholar and channeler... for recommending that I should take the job and for bringing me to the airport. And for assisting me in the search through the internet.

>>>To the DEUS and Bertud Pilipino members (Ka Mon, Ka Nap, Ka Alfer, Ka Bert, Ka Gan and everybody)... for confirming clues like the church and for protecting me from harm while doing the search... also thank you for the additional "guides" you've lend me.

>>> Carlo and Diego, the (ceremonial) magicians... for the Invocation ritual and confirming that the boy is in Ozamis.

>>> Raymund, the shaman ... for the runic reading.

>>> Rico, practicing Chinese magick ... for the chinese divinations.

>>> Monique, former psychic from Nginiig ... for the readings through text messages.

>>> Junen, of the Cebu Paranormal Society ... for checking the orphanages in Cebu.

>>> Mommy Dulce, mother psychic from Tacloban ... for the readings through text messages.

>>> Ate Janis, mother, sister, who does psychometry ... for accompanying me and introducing me to Ozamis City.

>>> Kuya Peter, wields higher forms of magick ... for the strength and courage.

And all those people who in one way or another prayed for my safety, wished me good luck, and everything. Thank you very much.

I can't also help thinking about the numbers 1657... I remembered that I must text also the taxi driver, who is a retired military, to pick me up in the terminal. Along these thoughts of texting him, I had a moment of enlightenment about the puzzling numbers. 1657 is 16:57 (Military time) or 4:57PM. This is the exact time I first saw the children.

I smiled. Laid my back on the chair... feeling contentment.

DAY FOUR: The meaning of the visions

The emotions of the day before had not yet left my system. I hardly had some sleep. With a couple bottles of beer, I managed to relax my body to be able to sleep.

Early morning, Ate Janis texted me. She will be leaving for Cagayan de Oro city. I will be left behind to see more how the children is doing. It is Sunday. After we had breakfast at Chowking, Ate Janis was on her way. I was left alone in Ozamis city.

I said to myself, "I think I will have this day off. Besides I think I deserve a break after what happened yesterday."

I went to a developing center. I had the picture of the little boy in my cellphone developed. Later I will send it to the clients. I went window shopping in Gaisano.

The vision of the church kept bothering me. I drew a church while locating for the children. But how come I have not across a church. I even asked Kuya Bert to search for churches that was founded in 1657. This numbers also flashed in my vision. I am thinking of the possibilities of understanding those visions.

Because it is a Sunday, I decided to go to the cathedral. I am not really fond of attending the holy mass. I just went there to see the church and take pictures of it.

To my amazement, it was the same church in my vision. The question now is, "Why?" Of course, the thought that it is near the Ortega building may have explained everything. But it didn't...

I went inside. I prayed. Another unexpected thing happened... Right in front of my eyes, I saw the children again. Now they are with Nancy and her daughter. They are waiting for somebody else. Then, Atty. Lao came. I moved near them. I am three rows away, so that I could observe them more closely. They are attending the 12NN mass. So, I attended the mass as well. My concentration is not on the Eucharist but on them. Chelster, once in a while, is glancing over me.

After the mass, they left in a tricycle. I didn't followed them because Nancy is growing suspicious of my character. I just let them be.

In my vision, the cross on top of the church is very clear. But I drew it differently. Then I realized, it's because the front is still under construction. The frames in front of it appeared to be part of the structure in the vision.

Now that I've understood about the vision of the church, what does 1657 mean? It's too short to be a phone number. It is too long to be plate number. Is it a house number? Is it a hotel number?

DAY THREE: A step on the unexpected realm

I was waiting in the terminal for Ate Janis. On my way to the terminal, I was talking to the taxi driver. He learned about the case that I am handling. Then I also learned that he is a retired soldier. He offered assistance to me. I handed him the picture of the persons I am looking for. He also offered his cellphone number. He said that in the case that I would visit Cagayan de Oro city, I would just contact him. He can bring me anywhere in the city.

Ate Janis came. We then proceed to the bus, bound to Iligan City. From Iligan city, we took again another bus, going to Mukas. This is where the port is located. We will take a barge from that port going to Ozamis City.

We arrived at Ozamis city at 2o'clock in the afternoon. Ate Janis brought me to the lodging house. She went to see her old friends while I rested for awhile. The trip was very tiring. But I still can't sleep. The thought of finding the children is still clouding my thoughts. Where should I begin?

I left the lodging house and went to see the Ortega Building. This is where the sister of the mother of the children is living. I checked the area. I had the strangest sensation that the children are in that building. I waited for awhile outside. But still no sign of them. So instead, I roamed around the city. I found a Mc Donald's and had a burger and fries. After the meal, I went back to the Ortega Building.

I was talking to Kuya Bert on the phone. I was asking him what should I do... suddenly, I saw something across the street. A little boy with glasses, wearing a red sando. I ran across the street. I didn't mind all the vehicles while traversing. I saw Chelster Lloyd Gatchalian, together with his sister, Chelsea.

I grabbed my phone and stole a picture...

I was cold. All my hairs were standing. My vision had come true. In my vision, I saw Chelster face to face with me while in a store. Later I realized, it's not a Sari Sari Store, but a bookstore. Everything is what I saw in my vision.

I called the client, I told them, "I saw the children. They are right in front of me."

They took a tricycle together with Nancy (their aunt). I didn't follow them. I rushed to the lodging house because I was trembling like hell!!!

DAY TWO: Delayed departure

Ate Janis texted me that she would accompany me to Ozamis city. She grew up in Ozamis so I would be very comfortable if she would come with me.

I waited for her at the lobby of the hotel while having my breakfast. She came. We talked about the case. Then we agreed to delay the departure until tomorrow. This is because it is late in the morning. She agreed to just bring me to Ozamis and find a guide for me there, while she will return to Cagayan de Oro because she had kids to attend to. I agreed. So I just took the time off. Besides, I really miss the Night Cafe of Cagayan de Oro. It is friday and I would very much love to experience it once again.

Carlo joined me later that day. We talked. We went to see the city. Then later checked the night cafe.

Rico also dropped by the hotel during the night. He was sweating. He came from the gym, he is teaching karate and other chinese stuff. He also assisted in the search. He used the chinese divination to locate the missing children. He said that I must hurry. I should also look out for the male companion of the children, as he may cause some trouble. This is just a comfirmation of the text message I recieved from Ka Mon. His tita said that I should be on my guard. I should be careful, especially from the male companion of the children.

The adventure got better and better. Tomorrow, I am off to Ozamis City with Ate Janis. I am still clueless what to do. All I know is I have to check the addresses that was provided by the client to me.

DAY ONE: A familiar ally

I had no sleep when I left Manila. My flight to Cagayan de Oro is at 4AM. So I need to be in the airport at 2PM. Kuya Bert brought me to the airport. I checked in. I just waited for my flight in the pre departure area, together with other passengers.

I arrived at Cagayan de Oro at around 6AM. I was instructed by the client to try the accomodations in the Park View. I found out that it's the same lodging house I've always utilized during my visits in Cagayan de Oro in the past. I asked the taxi driver. He suggested Hotel Ramon. I tried it. As soon as I got there, I asked the receptionist about the rates. It's just the same with Park View. She suggested that I could check the room first. I said, I would love to. I went upstairs. The help motioned me to Room 306. I was stunned when I saw the brown butterfly at the door, as if the creature is telling me, "I am reserving this for you." So, I got the room. I couldn't refuse the offer of an animal messenger guide to a questing shaman.

When everything was settled, I rested the whole morning. I texted my old group there. Carlo replied that they will be coming in the afternoon, together with members of his new group.

Carlo and Diego went with me to check out the Xavier Heights address that was given by the client. According to them, this is the house of the sister of Mae Ann. We checked it out. We saw some carpenters... but didn't see signs of Mae Ann or the kids.

Carlo and Diego decided to do some invocation ritual, asking for the kids to reveal their locations. We assembled the necessary parapernalia for the ritual. Then they did it in the hotel room. Raymund (a shaman) also dropped by. While Carlo and Diego are doing the ritual, Raymund and I used our divination skills to try and locate something. Raymund was using the runes while I am using the tarot cards. As soon as Carlo and Diego was done with the ritual, they joined us. Carlo is using the automatic writing while Diego used the pendulum. Until now, I still can figure out why the pendulum snapped. The crystal fell to the map. I fell right on Cagayan de Oro. (Maybe it is due to the energy raised while they performed the ritual.)

Then Carlo suggested that the boy is in Ozamis. Then I am off to Ozamis City.

The Search...

I will be leaving Manila for awhile. Equipped with visions from different psychics, data from the family and other documents, i will be searching for Carl...

(This post is just the beginning of the series. Please stay posted for the development of the case.)

The long lost tradition is finally revived!

Maybe most of us remembered our favorite "komiks". During my time it was the favorite past time. And we should thank also this tradition by giving us our favorite characters in most of our teleseryes and sit coms now. Maybe you are familiar with "Pedro Penduko", "Zsa zsa Zaturna", "Lastikman" and so on. These are examples of characters that came to life from "komiks". I remembered rushing to the nearest store to look for my favorite "komiks". During that time we would rent them for 2pesos or 5pesos. My favorites are "Aliwan", "Happy", "Wakasan", "Hiwaga" and others. All of a sudden, I just realized "komiks" are no longer available. But instead they tried to convert it into a "graphic novel" which is very expensive for people to buy.

A good friend, who worked in the "komiks" industry, invited me to a writer's forum. He said to me that they would revive the tradition. I went with him. There I saw Carlo J. Caparas. He was the one who is initiating this historical event. They had been having the "komiks" caravan for the revival of the tradition. Now, it is finally here, Filipinos will enjoy the entertainment and lessons in a piece of paper that once was the talk of the town. Now that Sterling will be publishing this for an affordable price, I am sure that students will be once again enjoying this literature. (I just hope that parents would be as happy as well.)

On September 14, 2007 (Friday), they will start selling five different "komiks" for everyone to enjoy. They will be selling it for only 10pesos, which is in my opinion is a fair price. So, I hope everyone will get their copy. And let us hope that this tradition will bring us more superheroes that we can truly say "Pinoy".

I also hope that I can contribute to this industry in the future. I guess I really need to practice my literary skills to be able to bring out the best in the different characters I have already in mind. Maybe my psychic skills could be put to good use by contributing to our literary heritage.

Double time

While the issue between Joey de Leon and Willie Revillame heightens, I grew interested on the topic. I search on youtube about the video clips. I saw only the videos of the reactions of both party. While watching it, my phone rang. I picked it up. To my surprise, it was the researcher of Mel and Joey. He informed me that they have a haunted house episode. They wanted me to look at the area and investigation. I said yes. Later, another researcher called me up. She is from SAPULSO (the show where I already appeared twice). They have an episode about the issue between Joey and Willie. They needed an anthropologist to discuss why filipinos are fond of game shows. I replied positively. My shoot for both shows were scheduled on the same day, August 31, 2007 (Friday).

I brought Bert with me to assist me in the investigation. We arrived at GMA7 past 7o'clock in the evening. We did the short interview for SAPULSO in their cubicle. After the interview, Archie (Segment Producer) accompanied us to the canteen. We catched up on things. We talked about things. Then he left for his editing. We ate at the canteen, waited for the crew of Mel and Joey to pick us up.

At around 10o'clock they arrived from another shoot. We proceed to Tondo. It was my first time in the area. Tales about Tondo haunted me. I was more scared of the area than the investigation itself. We were brought into an "eskinita". People were curious to see what we were doing. Bert and I proceeded with the investigation. After we uncovered the story of the hauntings, we explained to the owner about them. Then advised her what to do in the area. We then wrap it up with the mini-house blessing.

I can't count how many haunted places I've been through. Each houses, buildings is a different experience for me. Tondo is different since I am more worried about our "physical" security rather than the investigation. But as the shoot went on, I saw Tondo is also like any other areas that I've been through in Mindanao.

The owner (Ate Annie) welcomed us with warmth. I sensed for the historical background of the house while Bert chanelled the different emotions of the entities in the place. And she was thankful for the enlightenment about the issue. The staff also thanked us for the investigation. And to my surprise, Ate Tess (Segment Producer) worked with ABS-CBN before. She was part of the Teysi ng Tahanan monday edition with Madam Rosa. The show I loved to watched when I was still studying in Isulan. What a small world...

I wanted to thank those who emailed and texted me, for watching Mel and Joey (last Sunday) and SAPULSO (last Monday).
